Austin, Texas – July 17, 2026 – ÐÓ°ÉPro today provided a progress update on its proposed Project Powder Houndâ„¢ lithium project near the Great Salt Lake in Utah. Under a previously announced non-binding Memorandum of Understanding with Compass Minerals, ÐÓ°ÉPro continues to evaluate the leasing of land and the licensing of mineral-rich brine from Compass Minerals to support the potential commercial-scale DLE and refinery project. The project remains in the feasibility evaluation stage and does not yet represent a binding project commitment or definitive agreement.
During the initial 60-day period, ÐÓ°ÉPro has continued due diligence and feasibility evaluation across several workstreams, including potential site configuration, brine access and handling, regulatory requirements, commercial terms and environmental considerations. The feasibility process intends to determine whether the proposed project can advance to definitive documentation and subsequent development milestones.
In this proposed agreement, ÐÓ°ÉPro would be responsible for the extraction and refining project, known as Project Powder Houndâ„¢, including facility development, design, funding, construction and operation. Compass Minerals’ contemplated role would be limited to leasing certain land and infrastructure and licensing access to mineral-rich brine already used in its operations, subject to definitive agreements and applicable approvals. Compass Minerals would not have capital commitments or operational expenses related to ÐÓ°ÉPro’s DLE facility.
As currently intended, ÐÓ°ÉPro would pursue a phased development approach for the up to 30,000 tons-per-annum facility. The concept remains subject to technical validation, commercial negotiation, regulatory approvals from the State of Utah, and other customary conditions.
